Family Night at the Museum

On the first Saturday of most months the Museum stays open late for an evening of family fun! Every month there is a different theme with hands-on activities and special films or performances beginning at 3 pm. You can also enjoy an additional manatee presentation, specially scheduled Planetarium shows, and the Rock Hall of Fame show at 7:15 pm (unless otherwise noted).

After 3 pm during Family NightsMuseum admission is reduced (reservations are not required):

  • Adults- $9
  • Seniors (65+) – $8
  • Children(4-12) – $7
  • Members and children 3 & under are always free

  • February 3: Riding the Waves*
    Can you stay afloat? In honor of the 2018 Bradenton Area River Regatta, stop by and check out the science of water, waves and watercraft. * Please note: This Family Night will end at 6 p.m. and will not include Planetarium programs. Please enjoy the fireworks that will begin downtown as part of the Bradenton Area River Regatta at 6:30 p.m. (There will be no Rock Hall of Fame at this month.)

 

  • March 3: The South Florida Museum is pleased to host the 4th Annual Manatee Elementary STEM Competition
    On display – student and class projects in Earth and Environmental Science, Life Science, Physical Science and Engineering. Join us to support the scientists of the future and celebrate their work!
