Inspire explorers of All Ages by Supporting the South Florida Museum

Connecting you to the wonders of our universe, our planet, our oceans, and our own backyard every day with world-class exhibitions, programs, and experiences — the South Florida Museum is your gateway to discovery. And, when you make a gift to the Museum, you help us continue to inspire explorers of all ages!
We will soon break ground on the much-anticipated Mosaic Backyard Universe (MBU). And, we will soon be launching our innovative new Pathways Program, integrating technology into the Museum experience for students, allowing customization for themes, grade-levels, and learning styles. In addition to these new Museum experiences, we continue to annually:
  • Host the Ballard Elementary Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten class in partnership with the Manatee County School District,
  • Curate the iQuest program for close to 200 middle school students who are challenged with projects and games that inspire out-of-the box solutions to real world problems,
  • Journey to the Badlands with groups of local educators on professional development fossil digs,
  • Host more than 10,000 school children from 10 counties through school field trips
  • Present more than 2,000 shows in our state-of-the-art Planetarium, and
  • Offer more than 1,400 manatee presentations to educate visitors about the risks these gentle giants face and our own manatee rehabilitation program. Rehabilitating manatee Lagoona, who recently joined Gale and Baca, is the 34th manatee to undergo rehabilitation at the Museum.

There are endless wonders to study and explore at the South Florida Museum. Support the South Florida Museum Today!
