We know that you love to visit the museum. We also know that you are always looking for new ways to learn and explore with your family, whether you are interested in astronomy, natural history, archaeology, anthropology, manatees, or any of the multitudes of areas covered in the museum. And so we are happy to present Family Night at the Museum.
The first Saturday of MOST months presents a whole new way to explore the museum. Each program offers something new to see and do. It could be a family-friendly film or maybe a live performance. Then there might be a scavenger hunt through the museum or perhaps some hands-on activities. One thing is for sure - it'll be fun and educational.
If the planetarium is your thing, take in an old-fashioned Live Star Talk (7 pm) and learn how to find the planets and constellations that are up that month, then check out one of our latest space shows at 7:30. And, if you are in the mood, stick around 'til later for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Show.
And of course, the aquarium is open so that you can visit with the manatees and our animal care team will offer a presentation at 6 p.m.
Food is available for a nominal price.
The museum is open until 8 pm and admission is half price after 4pm.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame planetarium show runs from 8:15 to 9 pm.
Please note: Family Night at the Museum programs may vary due to other special events and Museum programs. When planning your next visit, please be sure to check this web page to view the upcoming scheduled events and Family Night themes.
