Reciprocal Partners Information

· ALL MEMBERSHIP LEVELS: South Florida Museum Members receive reciprocal benefits at 300+ Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC) worldwide. Members must show their Museum membership card for admission to participating ASTC organizations outside of a 90 mile radius of the South Florida Museum. Please note: Some institutions locally may not recognize the South Florida Museum ASTC reciprocal membership (due to proximity restrictions) or may limit the number of visitors allowed in under the ASTC reciprocal membership. Please contact the institution you plan to visit before your trip to confirm their policies. Up to 4 members of ASTC organizations per visit are admitted to the South Florida Museum at no cost with valid membership cards (from organizations outside of a 90 mile radius of the South Florida Museum). Planetarium shows are not included in ASTC admissions to the South Florida Museum, but can be purchased for $4 / visitor. 

· The Museum shares reciprocal Member privileges with several local organizations, as well. Valid membership cards and ID are required. Above listed restrictions for reciprocal partner Member admissions to the South Florida Museum apply.
Additional reciprocal benefit partners include:

· FRIENDS LEVEL & ABOVE ONLY: Reciprocal benefits at 700+ North American Reciprocal Membership (NARM) organizations nationwide. Members must show their Museum membership card for admission to participating NARM organizations. Please note: Some institutions locally may not recognize the South Florida Museum NARM membership (due to proximity restrictions) or may limit the number of visitors allowed in under the NARM reciprocal membership. Please contact the institution you plan to visit before your trip to confirm their policies. Up to 4 members of NARM organizations per visit are admitted to the South Florida Museum at no cost with valid membership cards (from organizations with the NARM logo on their membership card). Planetarium shows are not included in NARM admissions to the South Florida Museum, but can be purchased for $4 / visitor. Additionally, NARM membership cardholders will receive a 10% discount at the South Florida Museum Store and Member pricing on special programs with a valid membership card with a NARM logo. 

· FRIENDS PLUS LEVEL & ABOVE ONLY: *Smithsonian Affiliate Membership - Two Memberships In One! Reciprocal benefits at 50+ Smithsonian Affiliate organizations nationwide. Members must show their Smithsonian Affiliates membership card (issued by the South Florida Museum) for admission to participating Smithsonian Affiliate organizations. Up to 2 visitors are admitted to the South Florida Museum at no cost with a valid Smithsonian Affiliates membership card (cardholder must be present). Planetarium shows are included. Additionally, Smithsonian Affiliates membership cardholders will receive a 10% discount at the South Florida Museum Store and Member pricing on special programs (for up to 2 guests per program).

Smithsonian Affiliate Membership entitles South Florida Museum Members (at the Friends Plus Level and above - see details by Membership level) to the following benefits at 40+ participating organizations nationwide (click here for a full list):

  • Free general admission for up to two (2) visitors - cardholder must be present
