2010-2011 Physics Science Courses
We are happy to announce the Museum Science Education & Enrichment (MSEE) program for 2010-2011. Now entering its sixth year, MSEE is based on a three-year content cycle. The first year focuses on Earth & Space Science, the second on Life & Environmental Science, the third on Physical Science (Physics). This year's focus is on Physics.
Led by Jeff Rodgers, the museum’s Director of Education and Director of the Bishop Planetarum, classes combine group discussions and hands-on activities for an engaging look at matter, energy and how physics affects our lives every day. These courses are not designed as stand-alone curricula, but as supplements to a broader course of study. Jeff is happy to consult with you on an individual basis about the curriculum you are using.
Two levels of classes will be offered in 2010-2011
JUNIOR level will be appropriate for students entering grades 3 – 6
and will meet from 1 pm to 2 pm
SENIOR level will be appropriate for students entering grades 7 – 12
and will meet from 2:30 to 3:30
Classes will be held on the first and third Wednesday of each month beginning on October 6, 2010 and ending May 18, 2011.
