One teacher or chaperone is required for every ten students, and will be admitted for free.


Pre-K

– One hour manatee-themed program includes a brief introduction to the Museum, manatee story time, a visit with Snooty™ the Manatee, and a chance to explore Discovery Place.

$5 per student

Grades K-12
Guided Highlight Tour

– Two hour program includes a guided tour of the Museum’s most popular exhibits, exploration time in Discovery Place, a manatee presentation, and one planetarium show of your choice.

9:45 – noon
$7 per student
15 student minimum



Grades K-12
Self-Guided Tour

– Two hour visit includes a manatee presentation and one planetarium show of your choice, plus an hour to explore the museum on your own.

9:45 – noon
$6 per student
15 student minimum



Grades 4 and up*

– Two hour program includes one planetarium show, a manatee presentation, and your choice of a highlight tour of the museum or a focused exploration of paleontology, archeology, life & environmental science or Florida history.

*Manatee County School District 2008-2009 Fourth Grade Field Trips are FREE.  Includes teacher workshop, transportation, and admission to the Museum.  Funding through the Manatee Education Foundation, Bright House, and Florida Power and Light.
