The South Florida Museum offers a unique combination of aesthetic and practical amenities sure to make any event a memorable occasion, whether it is a corporate meeting, a black tie affair, or a wedding.
The Spanish Plaza & Chapel
The dramatic architecture of the Spanish Plaza revisits the elegance of another time: picturesque columns and arches, ornate wrought-iron gates, chandeliers and lamp posts, and a beautiful fountain with an equestrian statue of Hernando De Soto. Adjacent to the open-air plaza, the covered colonnade offers a panoramic underwater view of our manatee(s)-in-residence.
For an additional fee, extend your event into our replica 16th-century Chapel, complete with sunset-hued marble flooring and stained glass windows.
VIP Boardroom
Alone or in conjunction with the Spanish Plaza, guests receive VIP treatment in the air-conditioned VIP Boardroom with its private, underwater view of the Manatee Aquarium, and private restroom facilities.
Bishop Planetarium
The newly rebuilt Bishop Planetarium and lobby may be made available for private events, as well.
