South Florida Museum Plans to Release Manatee in Apollo Beach Tomorrow, 1-17-12

The animal care staff at the South Florida Museum’s Parker Manatee Aquarium is planning to release a young female manatee nicknamed “Brandee” at 9 a.m. tomorrow, 1-17-12, from the Apollo Beach Nature Preserve, 6760 Surfside Blvd. in Apollo Beach. Brandee will be released with “Homey,” a manatee being released from Lowry Park Zoo’s manatee hospital.

“And the Winner Is…” Film Fridays Series Set to Begin in January during Awards Season

The new Film Fridays series will run most Friday evenings, Jan. 6 – March 16, 2012.

“Ripple Effect for Manatees” Fundraising Campaign Reaches $40,000 Goal - Half of Annual Food Bill
